Hot Summer Music

A year ago, we were promised a hot summer from Cam'Ron that never materialized. Unfortunately, his mother was hospitalized she suffered multiple strokes. Cam was with his mother throughout the life changing experience and made sure that she had the best care that was available. Shouts out to Killa. He is already heating it up with his verse on the remix of "Make da Trap say Ay". We did, however get smash hits like "Lollipop" and "A Milli" from Lil Wayne, "Out Here Grindin" DJ Khaled, "Bust it baby" from Plies, "Superstar" from Lupe Fiasco. My 9 year old knows "Superstar" forwards and backwards! The summer is always a time when artists seem to turn it up a notch and bring that flame. I am hoping that this summer does not disappoint. If we are lucky we can get some new heat from some new players in the game and some veterans.

Oj da Juiceman is killin' these jive turkeys. The same can be said for his partner in crime, Gucci Mane. Ya'll can hate all you want but that show money these two are seeing has to be pretty nice right now. Especially since Gucci was just released. I also think we will hear something from my favorite dude right now, Curren$y. If you have ever read my blog, you know Spitta is one of my faves and "This Aint No Mixtape is shaping up to be outrageous. Another guy I'm riding with is French Montana. Frenchy has that laid back NY rap that is so gutta. His new mixtape, Macaroni with the Cheese, is dropping soon. The dude Nipsey Hussle out of Cali is gonna bring the heat from the west coast. I hate to do it but I have to compare him to a young Snoop. I hope that my man Meek Millz out of Philly can get it poppin' this summer too. He inked a deal with T.I.'s Grand Hustle imprint. Please YouTube this dude..ridiculous flow.

I am willing to go out on a limb and say that we will hear something from Lil' John and the Eastside Boyz. It has been forever and a day since we heard from the rowdy trio. I would also like to hear something official from Fabolous. Then there is my dude Yo Gotti from Tennessee. Lil Boosie is heating it up for summer too. There is nothing like trap music when you are riding out on your way to the club. It gets that swag turned up without you breaking a sweat unlike damn near anything from Lil John. I think we need to hear some new 50 too. He has been bringing it on the last few joints I heard from him. Dare I say Detox from Dre? I promise you we have been waiting on this since crack was the new black. Why not round out the three headed monster and say Eminem. for as long as he has been dormant I know he has some hits ready to blaze us this summer. also, Busta Buss should be about ready to drop the anvil on us too. "Arab Money" was a reat warm up and a personal favorite of my 3 year old son.

There are at least 10 other artist I could put here but I am getting sleepy and I have a 9-5 job unlike some lucky people out here! No hate though. Hater Free Zone, baby. If I don't like it I don't talk about it. Why exert energy towards hate? It makes no sense

Jadakiss in Philly

Kiss is one of those real dudes that you basically have to respect. He is always in the streets with the people. As an artist, dude has had more ups and downs than a Six Flags roller coaster but he is extremely resilient. The whole L.O.X is to be honest. I can't wait for the album! It drops on April 7th. Show your love by copping the real album on iTunes, Best Buy, FYE..etc.

Black Dinero,Squaly Gunz, and Danger on Batcave Radio

The first dude that goes in, Black Dinero, is nice on the mic. He is a Philly cat that always goes in. I'm not too familiar with the other two but they do their thing too.

Lil Boosie Badazz: Loose as a Goose

I'm glad to see Boosie back and this will be a club banger fa sho'. Peep Boosie as he gets his dance on!

Cam'Ron: Return of Killa

You can say what you want but Killa is back!

Max B & French Montana respond to Jim Jones' "Frienemies" track

Max B and French Montana are my fave mixtape cats right now. They need to do an album together. If memory serves me correctly, Max may be in some kind of contract situations with Jim Jones. French Montana has a deal with Akon's Konvict Music label. You need to go cop any and all Max B and/or French Montana mixtapes you can find.

Rick Ross Red Carpet Interview

Rick Ross is one of the harshest rappers when it comes to dealing with interviewers. Watch this.

Young Jeezy "Don't Do It"

One of the hottest songs from Jeezy of of his "The Recession" album.

Curren$y @ SXSW

I figure why not post up the homie Curren$y's performance of "Modern Day Hippie" @ SXSW. Classic Spitta jam right here. I played this song to death when I first heard it!

Maino: Haters

Maino is that guy. 'Nuff said. BROOKLYN!

Curren$y- "Wave Race"

I am really digging this song right here. You know "Spitta sounds best over beats that's breezy" and this is exactly what that is right here. The production is very clean and "fly sounding". "This Aint no Mixtape", Curren$y's first lp, should be out real soon. I think it's gonna be one of those digital only joints and you MUST cop this. FS Jets, where haven't we been yet?

Props to

Polow da Don

Here is Polow Da Don and Ms. Keri talking about their chemistry in the studio. Polow also says something that has at least one other producer feeling some type way.
